Tour Plan
Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

The journey begins at Machame Gate, where climbers register and meet their mountain crew. The trail ascends through a dense rainforest filled with towering trees and vibrant wildlife. The day’s trek ends at Machame Camp, located in a clearing at the edge of the rainforest.

Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

The trail becomes steeper as you leave the rainforest and enter the moorland zone. Trekkers enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and Mount Meru in the distance. The day concludes at Shira Camp, set on the Shira Plateau, where the climate becomes cooler.

Day 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

This is a critical acclimatization day. Trekkers ascend to Lava Tower, a volcanic rock formation standing at 4,600 meters, before descending to Barranco Camp. The day helps your body adjust to the altitude while offering breathtaking views of the surrounding alpine desert.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

The day starts with the Barranco Wall, a challenging but manageable climb that requires some scrambling. Once at the top, the trail becomes gentler, leading to Karanga Camp. The journey offers dramatic views of glaciers and the southern slopes of Kilimanjaro.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

The trek continues to Barafu Camp, the base camp for summit attempts. Trekkers arrive early to rest and prepare for the final ascent. The atmosphere at Barafu is both exciting and anticipatory as climbers prepare for a midnight start to the summit.

Day 6: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and descend to Mweka Camp

The most challenging and rewarding day begins just after midnight. Climbers ascend to Stella Point on the crater rim before making the final push to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters. After celebrating at the summit, the descent begins, passing through Barafu and ending at Mweka Camp, where climbers can rest and reflect on their achievement.
